A BILL to amend article one, chapter sixteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty- two, relating to sanitarian employees of the division of health; and providing for a twenty-five percent across-the- board salary increase.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article one, chapter sixteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-two, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. DIVISION OF HEALTH.
§16-1-22. Sanitarian's salaries.
On the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, any sanitarian, as defined in section two, article seventeen, chapter thirty of this code, who is employed by the division of health shall receive a salary increase in an amount equal to twenty-five percent of his or her salary on that date.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is provide for a 25% across-the-board salary increase for sanitarian employees of the division of health to bring their salaries into parity with county sanitarian employee salaries.
